Dear Ellen you cannot Imagine
with what anxiety I Have Awaited
The arrival of your kind and
welcomed letter of The 14th which
was Received yesterday it was a
great Releaf To Read a letter from
you also to Hear That you were well
and enjoying yourself which is
more Than I Can Say for myself
The first week I Spent Here very
pleasent Hunting Every day I
killed a great many fine birds
Such a Ducks quails pheasents
with a fiew Squirles But I Soon
got Tired Running in The Woods
on foot, & myself and The Two
Clerks got Horses and went out
Into The Country and got Some
more Hunters with Their pack
