Dear Sister Em
You say you can wait
awhile for your answer but as I am wr
-iting to Frank and have some spare
room and a superfluity of ideas and no
body here to express them to now I will
embrace the present time to get out of your
debt= John has been down to his dinner
staid in the house about half and hour
He stays so short a time that I have to use
a force pump to get the news out of him
in a short time= if you hear of any imp
-rovements in that article please let me
know as it would be of great use to
me= He told me that the balance of the
scout has come in but brought nothing
but some guns= word came from them
that they were on the track of Porter
who was with Green last summer had
for awhile a large command of his
own= he joined Green= together theirs a-
-mounted to some 4000 at the time
they had John= The boys did not get
