Gallatin North Missourian banner

The North Missourian was first published in August 1864 until 1903 as a weekly paper when the paper became the Gallatin North Missourian.  During the Civil War the editors and proprietors, Waters and Kost,  proudly printed in the banner, “Our Principles.  The Election of Lincoln, the Crushing of the Rebellion and Restoration of the Union, the Triumph of Free Labor, and The Interests; Agricultural, Social, Religious, Educational and Political, of our County and State.”
